Our Story
Our story Horizon Recovery was founded on the belief that every person has value, every life has purpose, and no one is beyond hope. After witnessing the devastating effects of addiction, mental health struggles, incarceration, homelessness, and broken families, we felt called to create a place where men could find not only recovery, but restoration. The name "Horizon" reflects our mission—to help individuals look beyond today's struggles and see the promise of a new beginning. We believe that through faith, accountability, compassion, and evidence-based care, lasting transformation is possible.
At Horizon Recovery, we combine structured treatment, peer support, life-skills development, and opportunities for spiritual growth in a safe and supportive environment. Inspired by Matthew 25:40, we strive to serve every resident with dignity, respect, and love, recognizing that each person who walks through our doors deserves the opportunity to heal, rebuild relationships, discover purpose, and create a future worth protecting. Our goal is not simply sobriety—it is helping men find hope, healing, renewal, and the foundation for a life of lasting recovery.

At Horizon Recovery, we believe recovery should include more than treatment alone. Residents enjoy access to a variety of amenities and activities designed to promote fellowship, community, and a healthy sober lifestyle. Our facility features a dedicated movie theater for weekend movie nights, viewing parties for major sporting events such as football, basketball, UFC, and championship games, holiday celebrations, cookouts, special resident functions, community meals, recreational activities, and peer fellowship opportunities. We strive to create an environment where residents can build meaningful relationships, enjoy positive experiences in recovery, and learn that a fulfilling, enjoyable life is possible without drugs or alcohol. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive community where accountability, personal growth, recreation, and recovery come together to help each resident build a strong foundation for long-term success.
Sports Activities
At Horizon Recovery, residents have access to a full-size basketball / pickleball court that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy recreation. Whether participating in organized games, friendly competition, or individual exercise, residents are encouraged to stay active, build positive relationships, and enjoy a healthy sober lifestyle while strengthening both their physical and mental well-being.

At Horizon Recovery, residents enjoy access to fitness facilities, recreational activities, sporting events, outdoor gatherings, community cookouts, and fellowship opportunities designed to promote wellness, connection, and lasting recovery. Residents also benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the facility and convenient public transportation access, including bus stops located directly on or adjacent to the property, helping them maintain employment, attend appointments, access community resources, and continue building independence throughout their recovery journey.
